Content Provided by Andrew Feldman

Cranford’s first-ever St. Patrick’s Parade on Sunday, March 16th drew thousands of spectators who crowded the sidewalks to celebrate and watch the festivities.

The parade led off with Grand Marshal Barry O’Donovan, Irish Woman of the Year Mary O’Connor, and Irish Man of the Year Dave Farrell. Irish groups followed, including the Union County Pipes and Drums, Shea-Jennings Dance School, the parade committee float, and the Ancient Order of the Hibernians. Members of local organizations marched, as well as youth groups including the Girl Scouts, and the Cranford Police and Fire Departments led up the rear. The enthusiasm suggests that this event will become a new town tradition.
