After years of serving the Summit community, Summit Bagel, located at 529 Morris Avenue, recently closed its doors. The iconic bagel shop, a staple in the area for many years, will be replaced by Kettleman’s Bagels & Deli, a growing local chain.

Kettleman’s Bagels & Deli, the new owners, currently operate two locations in New Jesey, in Somerset and Bridgewater. The company, which has earned a loyal following in Central Jersey, plans to bring its signature bagels and deli offerings to Summit, promising a fresh take on the classic bagel experience.

As of now, there is no confirmed date for the grand opening of the new Kettleman location, but it’s expected to open shortly after renovations are completed, according to ownership. For those who will miss Summit Bagel, Kettleman’s is hopeful they will find a new favorite in the revamped space.
