The whispers are true. The Secret Tea Room at Reeves-Reed Arboretum in Summit, New Jersey is a hidden gem that has been serving up charming tea events overlooking the beautiful gardens for almost three years now. It’s the talk of the town! Taking inspiration from world-renowned tea rooms like the Savoy in London, The Secret Tea Room is providing a comparable experience in historic Wisner House on the grounds of Reeves-Reed Arboretum and offering the perfect blend of nature, elegance, and tradition.
In the fast-paced world of today, the Secret Tea Room offers visitors a unique opportunity to unwind amidst the beauty of the Arboretum’s stunning seasonal blooms and whispering trees. Upon arrival guests are seated at tables with beautiful chinaware and offered a full menu of fine teas from classic black and green teas to rare herbal infusions that will be brewed to perfection. Once everyone is settled in, beautiful tiers of freshly baked scones, jam, homemade clotted cream, scrumptious tea sandwiches, and sweet treats arrive at your table. A complimentary glass of bubbly or sparkling lemonade will top off the service. Gluten free options are available with advance notice.
Cream Tea is served almost every Wednesday with seatings at 11:30 am, 12 pm and 1 pm. Upcoming dates: November 6, 13, 20 and December 4, 18, 2024. Afternoon Tea is served on select Sundays with seatings at 11:30 am, 12 pm, 1 pm and 2:30 pm. Upcoming dates: November 17 and December 15, 2024. The Secret Tea Room serves adults and children ages 13+. The Sunday 2:30 pm seating welcomes families with children ages 7+. On Saturday, December 14, the Secret Tea Room will be hosting a special Holiday Afternoon Tea for families. The menu will include the regular Sunday Afternoon Tea menu for adults as well as child-friendly sandwiches, desserts, and sparkling lemonade for the kids. With historic Wisner House dressed for the holidays, this is the perfect setting to kick off the holiday season and make special family memories.

In keeping with its secretive charm, there is limited seating for each Secret Tea Room event and advance tickets are required. So, whether you are looking to enjoy a quiet moment alone, or share tea with friends and loved ones, you are sure to enjoy this enchanting tea experience!
