The Fortnightly Club Awards 2024 Scholarships

Summit, NJ – The Fortnightly Club of Summit announced the recipients of their 2024 scholarships: Chelsea Asitimbay, Keilah Torillo and Diane Saint-Louis.  Each year, scholarships are awarded to deserving young Summit women to help them pay for college.

Chelsea and Keilah were both awarded The Manley-Winser Scholarship.  This scholarship is open to any female high school senior who resides in Summit and plans to attend a 2-or 4-year college, professional, technical, or trade school.  Chelsea  will be attending Boston College and Keilah will be attending The College of NJ in the fall.

Diane was awarded The Sherry Rawson Scholarship, which is in memory of Sherry Rawson, a beloved Fortnightly Club member who served on the scholarship committee for many years.  Diane will be attending The College of NJ in the fall.

These young scholars were awarded a total of $15,000 for their college education.  Eligibility for the scholarship is based on academic merit, personal essay, and financial need.  By helping young women begin their adult lives is a significant way, The Fortnightly Club gives back to the community.  To find out more about The Fortnightly Club of Summit, please visit www.fortnightlyclub.org
