How long have you lived here and what brought you to town?
We moved to Westfield five years ago because of its reputation as a vibrant community with excellent schools, a strong sense of community, and beautiful surroundings. The town’s convenient location, just a short commute from New York City, also made it an attractive choice for both professional opportunities and family life. Overall, my husband and I were drawn to the combination of suburban tranquility and urban accessibility that the town offers.
What are your favorite family activities?
Our favorite family activities in and around town include exploring the beautiful parks and trails such as Echo Lake Park and Tamaques Park for hiking, picnicking, and enjoying nature. Another favorite pastime is spending time in downtown Westfield, where we browse the shops, grab ice cream at a local creamery, and dine at one of the many family-friendly restaurants.
During the warmer months, we enjoy attending outdoor concerts and festivals in town, such as the Westfield Jazz Fest or the annual Spring Fling. For some educational fun, the Westfield Memorial Library offers storytime sessions and various family-friendly events throughout the year.
When summer arrives, our family eagerly heads to the beach. Luckily, the Jersey Shore is just a short drive away, making it easy for us to enjoy sunny days by the ocean. Whether it’s a spontaneous trip or a planned getaway, we love soaking up the sun, building sandcastles, and cooling off in the refreshing waves.
Overall, Westfield provides a perfect blend of local charm and access to nearby attractions, making it an ideal location for our family outings and adventures.

Ferraro’s is our family’s go-to spot for a good time and great food! From the moment we walk in, we’re greeted by the irresistible smell of Italian goodness, and the cozy, laid-back atmosphere is perfect for our casual family outings. After enjoying a delicious meal, we love taking leisurely strolls in Westfield, especially when it ends with a sweet treat—ice cream! It’s a simple joy that brings us together as a family, creating cherished memories with every scoop. Supporting local small businesses preserves community spirit and prosperity.
What was the best advice on motherhood that you ever received?
The best advice on motherhood that I ever received was to trust my instincts and embrace imperfection. Every child is unique, and there’s no one-size-fits-all approach to parenting. By tuning into my intuition and being open to learning and adapting along the way, I’ve found confidence and joy in the journey of motherhood. It’s okay to make mistakes and learn from them, as long as I’m always striving to be the best parent I can be for my child.
