How long have you lived here and what brought you to town?

I am a lifelong Cranford Resident, after graduating from the University of Delaware in 1999, I lived in New York and London before returning to Cranford in 2007 with my husband, James, to raise our family. My best friends still live here, and our kids go to school together. Cranford is absolutely the most wonderful place to raise a family.

What are your favorite family activities?

We love to travel, go to ice hockey games & concerts, play backgammon and we also love hosting parties especially on the 4th of July.

What’s your favorite restaurant and/or place to shop?

There is something for everyone in Cranford. The restaurant scene has really built up over the years. As a family we love going to The Hotel after a sporting event or IL Gabbiano under the tent for special events. Venue 104 is amazing for gatherings or catering. Dreyer Farms is my go to for everything. I love getting gifts at Augusta Mae, Anthem and Periwinkles.

One thing is for sure, whether you’re a lifelong Cranford resident or a newcomer, our local businesses know your name. It’s truly a special town.

What was the best advice on motherhood that you ever received?

Always stay humble and kind. I don’t know if that’s motherhood advice but it’s a motto we keep on our fridge to keep us all aware to always be kind.

Tell us about your job or passion.

I created Sila Boutique almost 12 years ago. It is a gifting site with brands you can’t find at major retailers. We have gifts for every occasion. I really enjoy curating the perfect gift. Over the years I was very lucky to have pop ups at Creative Kids and Giggles to have these creative places carry my merchandise.

What inspired you to follow this career?

I’ve taken my experience gained from working in the fashion industry in both New York and London for top fashion brands like Burberry as well as niche boutique brands and have combined it with my own life experiences as a wife, mother and friend.
