Where/why did you get your pet?

Totally a Covid puppy! We acquired her from a farm in Pennsylvania in December 2020. We lost Rascal, our Border Collie/Collie mix in 2017 and knew we wanted another Border Collie.

Anything special or unusual about your pet?

Dakota is a true Border Collie in every sense of the breed. She is full of energy and as long as you have a ball or frisbee, she is your best friend. Intelligent and smart, she was extremely easy to train.

Any funny stories?

Dakota seems to have taken a dislike of birds…which has extended to planes. Barking and looking toward the sky ensues with each flyover which is rather frequent on our side of town. It is the only thing that stops her playtime with “The Ball!”

What do you like best about your pet?

Dakota is just a happy-go-lucky dog. She seems to love and live life to the fullest and is happiest when she has a job or routine. She is a hard-working breed but can also snuggle with the best of ‘em.

How has the pet enriched your life?

Dakota helped us through Covid by getting us outside with daily walks and playtime activities. Every day is an adventure and her energy and personality bring new enthusiasm to each day.
