Where/why did you get your pet?

Boomer came into our lives a few months after unexpectedly losing our beloved Golden Retriever, Jack. He was the sunshine we were missing in our home. A few years after having Boomer, we came across Georgia’s picture on Petfinder and instantly knew she would be the sister Boomer never knew he had.

Anything special or unusual about your pet?

Boomer loves to have his belly rubbed and when you stop, he hits your hand with his paw and gives you his crazy eyes look ( photo attached). Georgia has a habit of sleeping under the covers at night and barks at you until you let her into the bed.

Any funny stories?

Boomer and Georgia work together and have been known to open closed doors in our home. Also, Boomer has claimed the small couch in our home; if you are sitting on it, he will stare you down until you find a new seat.

What do you like best about your pet?

Both pets bring such warmth and love to our family. This quote by Anatole France, perfectly sums up how we feel about our fur babies, “Until one has loved an animal, a part of one’s soul remains unawakened.”

How has the pet enriched your life?

A dog asks for so little, but deserves so much and gives so much more to our everyday.  The walks we take and our talks with each other (well we talk to them and they listen).  They make every day complete.
