Meet Vinnie

Where/why did you get your pet?

We got our dog from a neighbor who was fostering him. We wanted to get a companion for our older Pitbull Louie who is 8.

Is there a story behind your pet’s name?

We named him Vinnie because it fits our “Italian” theme for our pet names.

Anything special or unusual about your pet?

Vinnie is one of the most unusual dogs I have ever seen. He sleeps with his mouth wide open and snores like an old mad even though he is only 1. To go on, he tends to “punch” us, as we like to call it, when we are not paying attention to him. He comes up behind us and will hit the back of our legs with his paw and turn on the puppy eyes, which are very easy to give into. Vinnie is an attention seeker and a classic puppy who is always bouncing off the walls.

What do you like best about your pet?

I love how cuddly Vinnie is. My mom calls him her baby because when he is tired he goes boneless and can be held and cuddled for hours. I also love his tough side, when looking at him you would not assume he loves to snuggle up into your arms but, he is 65 pounds of pure muscle and love.

Any funny stories?

Something we love about Vinnie is how docile he can be. Often times we sit him up and have a photo shoot. He is surprisingly comfortable with wearing glasses so we dress him up like a doll and take an ungodly amount of pictures.

How spoiled is your pet, give us an example?

Vinnie is way to spoiled, mostly by my parents. From his carthart jacket, yeti (monogrammed) food bowls, and monthly new toy subscription I tend to wonder who my parents like better.

What else should we know about your pet? How has the pet enriched your life?

Vinnie has enriched my life in so many ways. He gets my older dog off the couch and running around and is the perfect cuddle partner. He is constantly putting a smile on our faces and a pretty cute hunk of muscle to hug when I get home from school.
