And did they ever at last Thursday’s annual Family Fun Night (FNN) held in Summit.
Hosted by Summit Downtown (SDI), FNN was back and better than ever, with a carnival-themed kid zone transforming Beechwood Road and Bank Street.
Local neighbors and residents from nearby communities shared a fun-filled evening that featured an exciting lineup of activities and entertainment. As part of the attraction, all activities were free and included promotions and interactions from many of downtown Summit’s family-friendly businesses.

Summit’s senior class of 2024 celebrated graduation day from Summit High School in a ceremony held at Investors Bank Field at Tatlock Park.
The names of the graduates were called by Class Vice President Emily Griffith, Class President Emma Heimple and Class Secretary Maeve McTernan. The diplomas were presented by Principal Stacy Grimaldi, Superintendent of Schools Scott Hough, and Walidah Justice, president of the board of education. A total of 288 students graduated in the Class of 2024.

The Cranford YMCA, a partnership between the Township of Cranford and the Westfield Area YMCA, is thrilled to announce its grand opening week which will culminate in an Open House event on April 27, from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m. Festivities will kick off with a ribbon cutting on April 23, including the unveiling of the renovated main locker rooms and changing areas, which were the final pieces in the transformation of the facility’s interior.

My neighbor, Hannah Caicedo and I spotted Teddy behind our building in Westfield last August.
We would see him everyday roaming around with an injured leg/ foot. We would see him dragging his foot for months. He wouldn’t come close enough for us to help him.
After reading a FB Westfield group post this January about this kitty sleeping outside and injured Hannah and I decided to make a real effort to trap him....
