Project Home of Cranford is a 501(c)(3) organization that was started in 1988 with the specific purpose of raising funds to be given to Cranford Family Care. This aid is distributed to Cranford residents who are experiencing difficulty paying their rent or mortgage due to financial downturns in their lives caused by illness, job loss, or other unexpected events. Here we are, 36 years later, and this support is needed now as much as ever.

At its regular public meeting on May 7, 2024, the Westfield Board of Education approved the appointment of James DeSarno as Director of Athletics / K-12 Physical Education and Health Supervisor, effective July 1, 2024. DeSarno will succeed Sandra Mamary, who is retiring after 37 years in the Westfield Public School District, 14 of them as Athletic Director.

The Westfield Memorial Library has collaborated with local fine artist Ricardo Roig to design a Limited-Edition library card. The card, which is a colorful digital replica of Roig’s hand-cut print of the library, is based on an aerial photograph taken by Garrett Maney.
The limited-edition library card will be available for free to anyone who signs up for a new library card. Existing cardholders can purchase one as a replacement for $2.00. All replacement cards will have new library card numbers.

Filmmakers and film enthusiasts gathered for the 4th Annual Cranford Film Festival, where they honored and celebrated the best short films. Hosted by the Cranford Schools Friends of Performing Arts (Cranford FOPA), the festival showcased over 100 submissions from a diverse array of talent, spanning categories such as fiction, documentary, music videos, animation, student films, and even those captured solely on iPhones.

Gunner was born in Carmel, NY, and was 1 out of 6 puppies. I have always wanted a dog of my own and my family always had labs.
